Nicole is moving in the right direction with her new album

Life is like a journey, continually taking us to new places. As we travel life's winding road we meet different people and discover new things about the world around us. According to Nicole Theriault, or Nicky, working is also like a journey, hence the name of her latest album On the Way.

Nicole has come to an exciting point in her life and this is reflected in her fresh fourth album. Nicole has put every last drop of effort into creating an album that will amaze her fans as well as her critics.

Nicole helped in creating the direction of the album in terms of style and momentum. She even sings her own backing chorus. On the Way is certainly a step up from her previous album, Pan Du (Fierce Breed).

Many of you will already be familiar with the album's first single 'Raan Khai Ya (Drugstore)'. Hear Nicky do her first, surprisingly good rap over her signature pop melodies. The album is full or surprises as listeners will discover on 'Puying Ta Dam Dam (Simple And Unaffected Lady)' which uses an infectious reggae sound to get heads nodding and feet tapping.

Fans of her deep and meaningful slow songs should skip to 'Ja Pian Pen Puaen (Must Change To Be A Friend)' for the sound that made her famous. A quartet is used to add a classical twist to the track.

The strangest track has to be 'Tar Pen Muai Korn (If It Was The Past)' as we struggle to hear what Nicole is trying to say as she mumbles the lyrics. Despite the incomprehensible lyrics the track is actually quite good.

On The Way has 13 tracks to chose from so there is certainly something there for everyone now that Nicole has diversified to acknowledge other popular styles.
